According to the Environmental Protection Agency, indoor air pollution is one of the top environmental dangers. Shockingly, much of this pollution comes from cleaning products.
The immediate consequences of exposure to indoor pollutants include dizziness, headaches, fatigue and irritation of the eyes, nose and throat. Asthma and other respiratory illnesses can manifest as exacerbated symptoms. The long-term consequences appear following a long or repeated exposure to indoor pollutants. They include heart disease and even cancer.
The indoor pollutants that can cause these different diseases are very common. Therefore, the Environmental Protection Agency recommends everyone to improve the air quality of their home, regardless of whether symptoms are currently present or not.
Fortunately, cleaning products full with harmful chemicals are not the only option to keep a home shiny. Non-toxic homemade cleaning products are healthier for us, they also help us save money and they protect the environment. Besides, the majority of the most powerful ingredients used for chemical-free cleaning products may already be on our pantry shelves.
Here we offer some recipes for creating cleaning products for different surfaces.

Afterwards, add ¼ cup of vinegar to the bowl and scrub away. For daily cleaning, fill a spray bottle with 1 cup of vinegar and a few drops of lemon essential oil. Spray on the toilet seats, let it sit for 5 minutes, and then wipe the surface with a cloth.

An all-purpose counter cleaner can be made by combining equal parts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle. If the countertop is made of granite, marble or stone you should not use vinegar because its acidity is no good for these materials. Instead, use rubbing alcohol.
The recipe for getting an effective tile floor cleaner consists of mixing one part white vinegar with two parts of warm water in a bucket. Then, use a rag or mop to scrub the floors with the preparation. There is no need to rinse off. Please notice that this mixture is not recommended for wood floors.
Combine one part white vinegar with 4 parts water and some lemon juice. Use this all-purpose window cleaner with a sponge or rag to scrub the dirt located in the glasses.
As you can see, creating chemical-free cleaning products is affordable, easy and simple. Give it a go and change your life forever!
